Part-Time Bake-Off/Deli Clerk – Stonebridge Food #380

About the role

We are looking for a part-time Bake-Off/Deli Clerk to join our Stonebridge Food location in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Bakery/Deli Manager, you will help customers and keep the bakery and deli areas well-stocked, clean and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service that promotes product sales.
• Maintain and display bake-off and deli products according to store procedures.
• Place replenishment orders, manage markdown reports and notify the manager of out-of-stock items.
• Follow opening and closing policies, including set-up and clean-up tasks.
• Handle customer complaints, escalating serious issues to the manager.
• Prepare, wrap, price, stock and price-check merchandise; unpack and verify deliveries, checking code dates.
• Observe safety measures, report hazards and assist with stock-taking as needed.
• Perform general housekeeping, sanitation and equipment maintenance, monitoring case temperatures.

Required profile

• Physically demanding role with frequent lifting of up to 35 lb.
• Strong service orientation and ability to assist customers courteously and efficiently.
• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Operate bakery and deli equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor case temperature, perform routine equipment cleaning and report repairs.
