Part-Time Community Pharmacist

About the role

Good Health Dispensary is expanding the scope of practice for community pharmacists in Alberta and is looking for a part‑time pharmacist to join its team. The role involves direct interaction with patients, physicians and other health professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients’ physicians and healthcare providers to achieve positive drug‑therapy outcomes.
• Perform medication reviews and management services in line with Alberta provincial standards.
• Provide counseling on over‑the‑counter products and ensure accurate pharmacotherapy.
• Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products as required.
• Advise on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage.
• Maintain medication profiles, including registries for poisons, narcotics and controlled substances.
• Prepare, package, distribute and store vaccines, serums, biologics and other pharmaceuticals safely.

Required profile

• Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
• Strong professionalism with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Outstanding problem‑solving abilities and patient‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work well within a team and build strong relationships with physicians.

Required skills

• Injection Certification.
• Experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software (preferred).
