Part-Time Casual Clerk – Retail & Fuel Services

About the role

Riverbend Co‑op is hiring a part‑time Casual Clerk for its Young General Store. You will support a friendly shopping experience by handling transactions, stocking shelves, pumping fuel and assisting customers.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members and customers, answer questions and provide friendly service.
• Process transactions accurately, handle cash and operate the till.
• Stock shelves, rotate products, check expiry dates and maintain product presentation.
• Pump gasoline and diesel fuel safely.
• Set up merchandising displays and promotional features.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, put away products and maintain pricing.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe store environment.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with strong commitment to customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Must be 19 years or older.
• Availability for varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Cash handling and point‑of‑sale operation.
• Basic equipment operation (fuel pump, forklift, telehandler with training).
