Oracle Fusion Financials Specialist

About the role

The Finance Technology Platforms Specialist / Oracle Fusion Financials Specialist is the primary coordination point for Finance Technology initiatives across the Finance, Technical and Support groups. The role combines Oracle Fusion Financials expertise, insurance industry knowledge and delivery coordination skills, and is hands-on, involving requirements analysis, solution design, testing, issue resolution and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the Finance workstream across Finance, Technology and Support teams, keeping a consolidated view of plans, risks, issues, actions and dependencies
• Review requirements, suggest design solutions, identify delivery gaps and monitor Fusion jobs to prevent delays
• Implement configuration changes and custom SQL code
• Support solution design, impact assessments, testing, defect triage and production implementation, focusing on General Ledger
• Understand end-to-end transaction flows from Guidewire and other insurance platforms through to Oracle Fusion, and assess impacts on accounting flows and reporting
• Facilitate workshops, translate business requirements into technology outcomes and keep stakeholders informed

Required profile

• Experience supporting or delivering Finance Technology initiatives in insurance or financial services
• Experience coordinating work across multiple business and technology teams
• Ability to challenge, influence and drive actions to completion
• Desirable: experience across global teams and third-party suppliers

Required skills

• Strong Oracle Fusion Financials experience on General Ledger, AP and AR
• Understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial controls
• Experience with Guidewire or similar insurance policy, billing or claims platforms and their finance integrations
• Desirable: Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS), finance integrations and reporting platforms, financial or regulatory reporting experience
