Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery (Laval)

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join its Laval surgical team. The position focuses on orthopedic procedures such as total hip and knee replacements, while also supporting a variety of other surgeries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for orthopedic and other surgical cases.
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team throughout procedures, ensuring strict aseptic technique.
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies according to CPR and ACLS protocols.
• Document surgical activities and maintain compliance with AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to promote patient safety and efficient workflow.

Required profile

• Completed nursing training (DEC or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Valid OIIQ license and current CPR/ACLS certifications.
• Minimum three years of operating‑room experience, with specific experience in THR/TKR.
• Fluent French and functional English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and surgical techniques.
• Proficiency with AIISOC, CSA, and PCI standards.
• Expertise in aseptic protocols.
• CPR and ACLS certification.
