About the role
We are seeking a compassionate On‑Call Recovery Home Support Worker to join our culturally safe team. The role supports individuals affected by mental illness, addictions, trauma, and crisis, helping them engage in daily living activities and community programs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide crisis support and report incidents promptly to the supervisor.
- Assist clients with daily living tasks such as shopping, cleaning, banking, medical appointments, and meal preparation.
- Maintain accurate client records and charting in the Mustimuhw database.
- Facilitate social, recreational, and vocational activities for residents.
- Safeguard medication in accordance with Section 65 of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act.
- Transport clients to appointments and support household supervision and safety.
- Participate in team meetings and community relations activities.
Required profile
- Commitment to Indigenous cultural safety, values, and ethical standards.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold community guidelines.
- Clear Criminal Record Review Program check (renewed every five years).
- Willingness to work on‑call and respond to urgent needs.
