Nurse Aide – Patient Care Support

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Aide to join our healthcare team in Toronto. In this fast‑paced, patient‑focused position you will support clinical staff by ensuring a clean, safe environment and assisting with direct patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, set up and assemble medical equipment.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as supplying and emptying bed pans.
• Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
• Serve meals, feed patients and make beds.
• Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher between care areas.
• Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments.
• Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilising operative areas.
• Administer first aid in emergency situations and collect specimens.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure patient rooms are orderly.

Required profile

• College, CEGEP or equivalent non‑university certificate/diploma (1‑2 years) or comparable experience.
• 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a clinical or community health setting.
• Ability to work under pressure, perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, client focus and reliability.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and on‑call shifts.
