Night Receptionist

About the role

The Night Receptionist is responsible for delivering a smooth and welcoming check‑in and check‑out experience for guests during the night shift at COMO Metropolitan London. You will uphold LQA standards, manage guest enquiries, and ensure the front‑of‑house area remains professional and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt room check‑in and check‑out in line with legislation and SOPs.
• Answer telephone calls politely, following LQA standards.
• Handle cash, foreign currency exchange and night audit duties, including balancing accounts and preparing reports.
• Address guest complaints or escalate when necessary.
• Inform guests about hotel outlets, opening times and services.
• Maintain a clean and tidy reception area throughout the shift.
• Monitor the general inbox and respond to guest queries.
• Collaborate with Reservations, Concierge, F&B and Housekeeping to meet guest expectations.
• Promote COMO Club enrolments, upsell services and support online reputation goals.

Required profile

• Confident, self‑driven and proactive attitude.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong social and communication skills.
• Well‑presented and groomed appearance.
• Ability to speak more than one language.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Opera property management system.
