New Graduate Nurse – Multiple Inpatient Units

About the role

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is seeking newly qualified nurses to join a diverse team across multiple inpatient units. As a New Graduate Clinician you will receive comprehensive paediatric nursing orientation, subspecialty training and preceptored clinical practice to support your transition into professional practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for children and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health‑care teams to deliver family‑centred care.
• Maintain clinical competence through ongoing education and evidence‑based practice.
• Provide safe, ethical, and competent nursing care in a high‑acuity paediatric environment.

Required profile

• New graduate registered nurse with a completed nursing education program.
• Eligibility to practice nursing in Canada.
• Strong commitment to paediatric health and willingness to work in a team‑oriented setting.

Required skills

• Ability to apply evidence‑based practice in clinical decision‑making.
• Competence in developing nursing care plans.
