Network Technical Specialist – Calgary

About the role

The Network Technical Specialist will join our Calgary team to ensure reliable operation of our computer networks and web servers. You will coordinate network access, install and maintain hardware and software, and support both internal users and external website visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate access and use of LAN, WAN and mainframe networks.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot and upgrade web server hardware and software.
• Evaluate, install and maintain computer hardware, networking and operating system software.
• Implement data, software and hardware security procedures.
• Perform routine network start‑up, shutdown, backups and disaster‑recovery operations.
• Set up local area networks and Internet connections.
• Monitor network traffic and security, and optimise server performance.
• Modify web pages, applets, scripts and apply metadata for SEO.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP diploma (1‑2 years) or equivalent experience.
• 1‑2 years of experience in network administration or web‑server support.
• Client‑focused, team‑player attitude in a fast‑paced environment.
