Motorman – Vessel Mechanical Operations

About the role

The Motorman will be based on MV Isabelle X/Saga‑Company vessels operating out of Squamish, BC. This full‑time, rotational position supports the mechanical systems of a floatel, ensuring reliable operation and a safe environment for crew and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor engines, pumps, compressors and other mechanical equipment.
• Maintain optimal operating parameters and implement fuel‑efficiency measures.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning and filter changes.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot malfunctions and carry out repairs or replacements.
• Record all maintenance activities, inspections and repairs accurately.
• Follow safety protocols, use required PPE and participate in emergency drills.
• Collaborate with engineering and other departments to resolve equipment issues.

Required profile

• Willingness to work on a three‑year rotational schedule with possible extension.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Commitment to adhere to safety regulations and vessel standards.
