Metal Fabrication Helper

About the role

Tri‑Fab Metals Ltd. is seeking a reliable Helper to support daily operations in its metal‑fabricating shop. You will work alongside fitters, sheet‑metal workers and machine operators to keep the production line running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate metal‑cleaning equipment to remove weld spatter, rust, scale and other residues.
• Assist structural steel, platework fitters and other metal workers as needed.
• Sort metal sheets, parts, scrap and other materials.
• Grind or chip excess metal using hand tools.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas.
• Load and unload vehicles and handle material transfers.
• Read and interpret work orders accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a metal‑fabrication or similar industrial environment.
• Ability to work in a noisy, fast‑paced setting and stand for long periods.
• Physically capable of handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lb) repeatedly.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and clean driving record.
• Dependable, flexible team player with good oral communication.
