About the role
The Member Reception Agent welcomes Desjardins members and customers, providing a courteous and efficient first point of contact. You will ensure a smooth flow in the waiting area, guide clients to the right resources, and support the overall member experience.
Key responsibilities
- Greet members and customers warmly, adhering to Desjardins service standards.
- Assist clients in using alternative channels such as ATMs, online banking, mobile services, and the Student Service Centre.
- Monitor waiting times, observe client reactions, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Identify sales opportunities while ensuring members’ needs are fully met.
- Strengthen trust in Desjardins by delivering accurate information and personalized assistance.
- Schedule appointments according to established processes.
- Answer, route, and provide general information on phone calls as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent in a related field.
- Minimum two years of relevant customer‑facing experience.
- Fluency in French (required).
- Knowledge of Desjardins products, counter and convenience services, and competitor offerings.
- Understanding of security measures, legal framework, internal controls, and cooperative financial services philosophy.
- Familiarity with reception procedures, service standards, and the organizational structure of the Caisse.
