Medical Transcriptionist

About the role

The Medical Transcriptionist will convert recorded dictation into accurate written documentation, ensuring compliance with established formats for medical reports, correspondence, health records, and patient information. The role also involves proofreading, verifying accuracy, and contributing to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Proofread transcribed documents to ensure accuracy.
• Transcribe recorded dictation according to established formats.
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines related to transcription processes.
• Examine and verify the accuracy of completed work.

Required profile

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (or French).
• Ability to work seated for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using MS Excel.
• Familiarity with MS Windows.
• Data manipulation and analysis capabilities.
