Meat Manager – Full-Time at Deer Park Food Store

About the role

Join the Deer Park Food Store team in Red Deer as a Meat Manager. In this full‑time position you will lead the meat department, ensure high‑quality service and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the meat department, including merchandising, tagging and pricing.
• Manage inventory control, ordering and receiving to stay within the department budget.
• Maintain excellent customer service by addressing and following up on customer concerns.
• Recruit, train, develop and evaluate team members, providing strong leadership and support.
• Prepare and execute promotions, displays and special initiatives.
• Collaborate with the store manager on additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent education combined with relevant experience.
• Meat Cutting Certificate or at least two years of meat‑cutting experience.
• Minimum three years of retail supervisory experience.
• Experience analyzing financial results and managing business initiatives.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform occasional heavy lifting.
