Market & Competitive Intelligence Manager (Hybrid, Calgary)

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Market & Competitive Intelligence Manager to power large‑scale growth programs across key industrial sectors. This individual contributor role is based in Calgary and operates in a hybrid model, translating diverse intelligence sources into clear, actionable insights for regional go‑to‑market planning, industry campaigns and account‑based demand generation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide market and competitive intelligence and actionable recommendations that support regional GTM planning, industry campaigns and ABM initiatives.
• Create program‑ready deliverables such as insight packs, industry snapshots, competitor point‑of‑views, messaging proof points and deal‑context briefs.
• Partner with regional marketing, digital, sales and portfolio leaders to define intelligence requirements, prioritize the research backlog and ensure rapid turnaround on high‑impact requests.
• Act as the program intelligence lead for priority initiatives, overseeing sourcing, updating and packaging of intelligence for marketing and sales use.
• Perform quality‑control of all intelligence outputs, including AI‑assisted content, to guarantee accuracy, relevance and alignment with messaging.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, execution‑focused researcher with strong analytical and data‑storytelling abilities.
• Individual contributor role; no people‑management responsibilities.
• Experience translating internal and external intelligence sources into clear, campaign‑ready insights.
• Familiarity with industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, EPC, Metals/Mining, CPG, Life Sciences and Marine.
