Manufacturing Technical Operator

About the role

Riverside Natural Foods is seeking a Manufacturing Technical Operator to join its food production team in Toronto. You will operate, maintain and troubleshoot production machinery in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring product quality and minimal downtime while supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated or semi‑automated production equipment according to SOPs.
• Perform equipment set‑up, calibration, changeovers and pre‑operation checks.
• Conduct in‑process quality checks to verify product specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, make minor mechanical adjustments or repairs, and escalate major problems to maintenance.
• Carry out basic maintenance and preventative tasks to avoid unplanned downtime.
• Maintain clean work areas and perform routine cleaning of machinery.
• Complete production logs, downtime reports and other required documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on complex equipment issues.
• Participate in health‑and‑safety meetings, audits, shift handovers and root‑cause analysis activities.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational training, or equivalent experience in food manufacturing.
• Ability to follow SOPs, GMP and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Strong attention to product quality and safety in a fast‑paced environment.
