About the role
The Manager Health Services will lead the delivery of safe, high‑quality client services across Prairie Mountain Health facilities. Reporting to the appropriate Director, this role oversees nursing leadership, collaborative practice, equipment management, and professional development.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and operate client services safely throughout the health authority.
- Monitor financial, human‑resource, equipment and environmental aspects of service delivery.
- Develop, implement and evaluate policies, procedures and sustainable programs.
- Foster functional relationships with other departments and participate in regional team structures.
- Plan and support ongoing professional development for staff and self.
- Promote positive public relations and uphold the organization’s vision, mission and values.
- Ensure compliance with Manitoba Health standards, Accreditation Canada criteria and professional regulations.
Required profile
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, health‑related field or business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current registration with the applicable licensing body and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence with personal vehicle access.
- Certificate in Health Services Management or Nursing Administration.
- At least three years recent healthcare experience and a minimum of two years in a management role.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, employee‑relations and policy‑development abilities.
- Strong organizational, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
