Manager, Business Development

About the role

Mastercard’s Ethoca division is seeking a results‑driven Business Development Manager to accelerate revenue growth across its global merchant portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Account Management, you will own the end‑to‑end sales cycle, deepen client relationships, and champion the adoption of Ethoca solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive account growth and expansion by managing renewals, upselling, and cross‑selling Ethoca product solutions.
• Lead contract negotiations and sales approvals to secure long‑term, scalable revenue.
• Identify and cultivate new relationships with key client stakeholders to increase account stickiness.
• Promote platform adoption and optimization of Ethoca solutions.
• Coordinate internal approvals with Sales, Product, Legal, Finance, and other Mastercard business lines.
• Handle commercial escalations, ensuring rapid resolution and client satisfaction.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and strategic account planning with senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling to enterprise‑level stakeholders in the payments technology space; merchant‑side experience is a plus.
• Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and renewing long‑term contracts.
• Strong commercial mindset focused on growth, profitability, and client value.
• Proficiency with CRM tools to manage pipelines and forecast revenue.
