Produce Clerk – Sales/Service

About the role

Join Safeway’s produce department in Lethbridge as a Produce Clerk, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and attractive workspace.

Key responsibilities

• Enter or scan items selected by customers and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Handle cash, debit cards, cheques and process deposits according to policy.
• Balance the cash register and meet productivity standards.
• Bag items following established standards and maintain a clean work area and uniform.
• Use equipment safely, comply with food safety and hygiene standards, and perform related duties as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma (preferred).
• Knowledge of cash register systems.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work various shifts, stand for long periods and lift up to 20 kg.
• Team spirit, communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
