Maintenance Technician - Area Support

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician – Area Support you will ensure residential units across the Edmonton West region are safe, functional and comfortable for tenants. You’ll work on a variety of sites, handling repairs and preventative maintenance to turn houses into homes.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs on windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances and fixtures.
• Replace carpet, vinyl and ceramic tiles and conduct painting, drywall patching, mudding and taping.
• Maintain building exteriors and perform basic grounds maintenance as needed.
• Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report deficiencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance‑related role.
• Completion of a relevant trade or technical certification, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with hand tools and repair equipment.
• Comfort using computers, smartphones or tablets for email, electronic work‑order applications and timesheets.
• Availability to work on‑call on a rotational basis.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
