Maintenance Manager – Manufacturing Facility

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team at our Moorefield, Ontario rendering facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant equipment and infrastructure while supporting production goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and direction to the Maintenance Supervisor and team members.
• Conduct daily plant walkthroughs to identify hazards, equipment concerns, and follow up on work orders.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs, develop weekly and monthly schedules, and control overtime.
• Oversee the CMMS (e.g., Maintenance Connect), track equipment history, and monitor performance trends.
• Lead root‑cause analysis on recurrent equipment failures and implement long‑term corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Ontario regulatory, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Participate in the Plant Operations Committee, contributing to strategy, capital planning, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability‑centered maintenance practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively, conduct performance reviews, and foster a safety‑focused culture.
• Familiarity with Ontario health, safety, and environmental regulations.
