Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The School District No. 43 is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join its Facilities Department. This temporary full‑time position supports the technical work and drafting activities required to maintain and improve school buildings and grounds across the district.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule maintenance, renovation, and repair projects across district facilities.
• Prepare and update technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software.
• Assist the Assistant Director of Operations/Manager of Maintenance with project planning and cost tracking.
• Ensure compliance with construction specifications, safety standards, and district policies.
• Perform on‑site inspections and support the execution of work orders.

Required profile

• Construction Technology Diploma or equivalent post‑secondary certificate.
• At least one year of architectural drafting experience.
• Knowledge of building renovation methods, materials, and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Successful completion of two criminal record checks prior to hiring.
