About the role
Wainbee Limited is seeking a skilled Machinist to join its production team in Timmins, ON. This full-time permanent position involves setting up, operating, and maintaining both conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision components.
Key responsibilities
- Compute dimensions and tolerances for machine parts and verify against engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
- Set up, adjust and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
- Fit and assemble components to close tolerances.
- Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3-5 years of machining experience in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Ability to work independently, pay close attention to detail and stand for extended periods.
