About the role
We are seeking a skilled Jumbo Drill Operator to work in our underground mining operations in Timmins. The role involves operating specialized drilling equipment to create passageways and support mining activities, while adhering to safety and production standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate jumbo drills and other drilling machines to produce a designated pattern of blasting holes.
- Set up and operate mining machinery to shear coal, rock or ore from the working face.
- Perform routine maintenance on drilling and mining equipment.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation in a noisy, dusty underground environment.
Required profile
- No formal degree required; relevant certification or training is a plus.
- 2 to 3 years of experience operating drilling equipment in underground mining.
- Physically demanding work; ability to work in noisy, dusty conditions and on shift or on‑call schedules.
