M&A Content Lawyer – Legal Content Creation

About the role

We are looking for a qualified lawyer to join our LexisNexis Legal & Professional team as a Content Lawyer focused on Capital Markets and M&A. In this role you will help build an innovative online resource for Canadian legal professionals, combining your legal expertise with strong writing abilities to produce practical, high‑quality content.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review and edit practice notes, checklists, flowcharts, precedents and other practice‑related materials.
• Ensure all content remains current, relevant and aligned with the latest legal developments.
• Monitor trends and legal developments in Capital Markets, Securities and Public M&A law.
• Assess the competitiveness of the product offering and suggest improvements.
• Recruit and manage relationships with legal practitioners and firms across Canada.
• Contribute to overall content strategy and direction.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver content on schedule.
• Support sales and marketing through product demonstrations and training sessions.

Required profile

• J.D. or LL.B. and member of the bar of any Canadian province or territory (active and in good standing).
• Minimum 3 years of practice experience in Capital Markets, Securities and Public M&A law.
• Deep knowledge of the relevant legal areas and established professional network.
• Strong practical writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Experience drafting or editing client materials, law journals, CLE presentations or other legal content.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated and able to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
