M&A Content Lawyer – Capital Markets & M&A

About the role

We are seeking a qualified lawyer to create and maintain high‑quality legal content focused on Capital Markets and M&A for Canadian professionals. The role blends deep legal expertise with strong writing ability to produce practical resources that help practitioners stay current and succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review and edit practice notes, checklists, flowcharts, precedents and other practice‑related materials.
• Ensure all content remains current, accurate and relevant.
• Monitor legal trends and developments in Capital Markets, Securities and Public M&A.
• Track competitiveness of the product offering.
• Recruit and manage relationships with legal practitioners and firms across Canada.
• Provide recommendations on content strategy and direction.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality content on schedule.
• Support sales and marketing through product demonstrations, trainings and related initiatives.

Required profile

• J.D./LL.B. and member of one or more Canadian provincial or territorial bars (active and in good standing).
• 3+ years of practice experience in Capital Markets, Securities and Public M&A law.
• Deep knowledge of the relevant legal workflow and a strong professional network of practitioners.
• Excellent practical writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Experience drafting or editing client materials, law journals, CLE presentations or other legal content.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated and able to meet deadlines.
