Long Haul Truck Driver

About the role

We are seeking a long‑haul truck driver to join our team in Winnipeg. The role involves driving as part of a two‑person team or convoy, handling refrigerated tractor‑trailer loads across long distances while ensuring cargo safety and vehicle compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy, operating refrigerated tractor‑trailer equipment.
• Load, unload and tarp goods, ensuring cargo is securely fastened.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and other vehicle components.
• Maintain driver logbooks, trip reports and other required documentation.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Class 1/1F/A licence (semi‑trailer trucks) and a valid driver’s licence.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of long‑haul driving experience.
• Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Familiarity with accident/incident reports, bill of lading, dangerous‑goods documentation and trans‑border paperwork.

Required skills

• Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
• Use on‑board trip recorder systems.
• Prepare and manage documentation such as bill of lading, driver logbook, and incident reports.
