Long Haul Truck Driver – International Routes

About the role

Join Gurjap Transport Ltd as a Long Haul Truck Driver operating refrigerated tractor‑trailers on international routes. You will work as part of a two‑person team, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of goods across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and other navigation tools to minimise fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Load, unload and tarp cargo, securing it for safe transport.
• Obtain special permits and required documentation for international shipments.
• Drive straight‑ or articulated‑truck combinations, including refrigerated units.
• Inspect vehicle condition (tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage equipment) and perform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption for dispatch.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence with Air‑Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Clean driving‑record check and successful drug test.
• Reliability, teamwork orientation and ability to work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Air Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Proficiency with GPS navigation equipment.
