Logistics Supervisor

About the role

The Logistics Supervisor reports to the Logistics and Supply Chain Manager and combines day‑to‑day logistics specialist duties with supervisory oversight of Purchasing and Planning functions. The role ensures smooth import/export logistics, transportation, customs compliance, shipping documentation and carrier management while aligning purchasing and planning activities with production needs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee import and export logistics, transportation operations and carrier relationships.
• Manage customs compliance, shipping documentation and tariff structures across North America.
• Supervise the Purchasing and Planning teams, monitor workflows and coordinate priorities.
• Develop, maintain and improve SOPs/COPs for logistics activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external service providers to ensure timely, cost‑effective operations.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and uphold workplace safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, customs or supply‑chain operations, including supervisory or team‑leadership experience.
• Prior experience in consumer‑goods manufacturing, food or beverage industry (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export compliance and tariff structures.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
