Logistics Operations Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a remote Logistics Operations Administrator to support daily rail and transloading activities. The role focuses on capturing operational data, monitoring yard movements, and delivering structured updates that enable the onsite Yard Manager to make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily railcar arrivals, departures, loading and unloading activities.
• Track yard inventory, railcar status, and transloading throughput.
• Prepare daily operational updates and reports for the onsite Yard Manager.
• Identify operational delays, bottlenecks, and risks.
• Maintain accurate records of truck movements, silo utilization, and yard activity.
• Coordinate remotely with yard staff, dispatch teams, and operations leadership.
• Maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools to ensure visibility of yard activity.

Required profile

• Graduate or Engineer in Mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in logistics, yard operations, rail operations, or dispatch coordination.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and support field operations remotely.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and operational reporting skills.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma or process‑flow methodologies (advantageous).
• Experience with railcar tracking, freight logistics, or transloading operations.
