Local SEO Project Manager for Scalable Agency Work

About the role

Join a fast‑paced, remote‑first agency delivering measurable local search results for a diverse portfolio of small and medium‑sized businesses. As a Local SEO Project Manager you will balance hands‑on SEO execution with project‑management duties, overseeing dozens of campaigns simultaneously.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute local SEO campaigns across a large, multi‑industry client base.
• Install, configure, and maintain WordPress SEO plugins such as Rank Math and Yoast.
• Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles to improve map‑pack visibility.
• Build, audit, maintain, and clean up business citations on major local directories.
• Implement on‑page and technical website optimizations to boost local rankings and conversions.
• Monitor performance, track rankings, analyze data, and produce regular reports with actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate recurring SEO tasks to ensure timely, consistent, and high‑quality delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing local SEO campaigns at scale, preferably in an agency or multi‑location environment.
• Strong expertise in Google Business Profile optimization and citation management.
• Hands‑on experience with industry tools such as BrightLocal, Yext, Whitespark, Viking, SE Ranking, Google Search Console, and Surfer SEO.
• Solid knowledge of WordPress website management and SEO best practices.
• Ability to organize and oversee a high volume of concurrent projects with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
