Line Cook – Italian Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking a line cook to join our team at Romeo’s Restaurant and Lounge, Hillside location in Victoria. The role focuses on preparing and cooking Italian dishes in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to Italian cuisine standards.
• Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by the dietitian or chef, following specific dietary requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and work areas, complying with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate (high school diploma) or equivalent.
• 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a restaurant kitchen environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding setting, standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, flexibility, and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Team‑player attitude with dependability, organization, and a commitment to supporting colleagues.
