About the role
Porsche Centre Richmond is one of the newest Porsche Centres in Canada, offering a state‑of‑the‑art service facility. We are building a team of driven automotive professionals who are excited to work hard and grow with the dealership. The centre is seeking a full‑time Licensed Automotive Technician to join its Service Department.
Key responsibilities
- Receive repair orders, perform work efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate with parts department, tag warranty parts, and ensure proper documentation.
- Examine vehicles for additional safety or service work and advise the Service Advisor promptly.
- Update dispatchers on job status, especially for rush or customer‑waiting orders.
- Road‑test vehicles to quality‑check completed work.
- Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
- Maintain a clean, safe shop environment and comply with hazardous‑waste regulations.
Required profile
- Fully licensed automotive technician with a valid British Columbia driver’s licence.
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities, including electrical diagnosis and repair.
- Working knowledge of automotive equipment and service procedures.
- Highly self‑motivated, organized and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Ability to make sound decisions consistent with job functions.
