Letter Carrier / Delivery Agent – Full-time Permanent

About the role

As a Letter Carrier (Delivery Agent) for Canada Post, you will be the public face of the organization in Saint‑Hyacinthe, ensuring that mail and parcels reach homes and businesses on time. This full‑time permanent position offers a dynamic, outdoor work environment year‑round.

Key responsibilities

• Start each day at the depot by sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
• Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle safely.
• Deliver mail and packages on foot or by vehicle along an assigned route.
• Return to the depot to unload incoming mail and prepare for the next day.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least three years (driver’s abstract required).
• Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and regularly carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb).
• Capability to work in all weather conditions.
• French language proficiency (essential).
• Customer‑service experience and prior delivery or driving experience are a plus.

Required skills

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence.
• Physical stamina for lifting and carrying parcels.
• Ability to navigate routes and operate postal equipment safely.
