Legal Counsel – Executive

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its in‑house legal team. The role supports the company’s manufacturing operations by providing legal guidance on contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters, helping the business achieve its objectives while staying within the law.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, distributors and customers.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, including environmental, health & safety, labour and data‑protection laws.
• Provide legal input on manufacturing agreements, licensing, technology transfers, NDAs, tenders and other commercial agreements.
• Manage litigation matters and maintain related information systems.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with international, national and regional legislation.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB or LLM) with admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 1‑3 years of legal experience handling contracts, corporate, commercial, labour and environmental matters.
• Strong knowledge of industrial regulations and supply‑chain contracts.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to balance legal risk with business priorities.
