About the role
As a Legal Affairs Analyst at Desjardins, you will protect the organization’s legal interests by ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will work across sub‑specialties such as contested matters and corporate secretarial duties, providing analysis, opinions, and implementation plans.
Key responsibilities
- Advise clients on interpretation and application of laws, regulations, standards, policies and guidelines.
- Support senior professionals by conducting legal research, drafting reports, opinions and summaries.
- Identify, input, analyze and interpret data to inform management decisions and monitor policy application.
- Analyze risks, prepare recommendations and advise on implementation.
- Help develop, update and implement policies, procedures, standards and tools related to legal affairs.
- Serve as a resource for the unit, clients and partners.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum two years of relevant legal experience.
- Knowledge of French is required.
- Strong analytical, communication and customer‑focus skills.
