Lecturer in Finance (1‑year term)

About the role

The Faculty of Management at UBC Okanagan seeks a full‑time Lecturer in Finance for a one‑year appointment starting July 1, 2026 (or a mutually agreed date). The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses and contributing to the Faculty’s academic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver eight course equivalents over a 12‑month period, including Corporate Finance, Applied Financial Markets, Sustainable Finance or Fixed Income Markets, and Finance & Financial Reporting.
• Participate in curriculum development, student advising, and departmental service.
• Engage in internal and external academic events and initiatives.

Required profile

• Near‑completion or completion of a PhD in Finance from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited business school.
• Preferred CFA designation.
• Demonstrated excellence in finance teaching and clear communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Required skills

• Expertise in corporate finance, financial markets, sustainable finance, fixed‑income markets, and financial reporting.
