About the role

The Faculty of Arts seeks a dedicated lecturer to teach and research on global poverty, inequality, and injustice. The role involves delivering interdisciplinary courses that examine the historical and contemporary forces shaping development challenges worldwide.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses covering topics such as war, debt, climate change, food security, globalization, and urbanization.
  • Guide students in critical analysis of international development policies and practices.
  • Conduct and publish research that contributes to scholarly debates on global inequality.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and community outreach.

Required profile

  • Minimum Master’s degree in a field relevant to Gender & Women’s Studies, Development Studies, or a related discipline; PhD preferred.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level.
  • Strong research record or professional experience in international development, poverty alleviation, or related areas.
