Labourer III – Public Works Construction

About the role
The Public Works Department is seeking a Labourer III to support routine physical tasks on municipal infrastructure projects. This onsite role involves assisting skilled crews with a variety of construction and maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and pouring curb and gutter.
- Lay asphalt and support pavement work.
- Help install and tap water and sewer mains.
- Perform weed and grass control around work sites.
- Complete any additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Required profile
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Ability to read, write and complete personal timesheets.
- Clean criminal record check.
- Experience in roadway construction and water/sewer line installation is an asset.
Required skills
- Standard transmission vehicle operation.
- First aid CPR certification.
- Confined space entry certification.
- H2S Alive certification.
- Ground disturbance certification.
- Fall Protection certification.
What we offer
- Hourly wage of $24.70 per hour as per CUPE Local 456 Agreement.
