Labourer III – Public Works Construction

About the role

The Public Works Department is seeking a Labourer III to support routine physical tasks on municipal infrastructure projects. This onsite role involves assisting skilled crews with a variety of construction and maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and pouring curb and gutter.
• Lay asphalt and support pavement work.
• Help install and tap water and sewer mains.
• Perform weed and grass control around work sites.
• Complete any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Ability to read, write and complete personal timesheets.
• Clean criminal record check.
• Experience in roadway construction and water/sewer line installation is an asset.

Required skills

• Standard transmission vehicle operation.
• First aid CPR certification.
• Confined space entry certification.
• H2S Alive certification.
• Ground disturbance certification.
• Fall Protection certification.
