Junior Project Controller

About the role

The Junior Project Controller will support the Project Controls Lead or Supervisor in delivering accurate cost and schedule information throughout the project lifecycle. This entry‑level position offers a structured development path within the Project Controls team of an electrical contracting firm that serves utilities, renewable energy, and industrial clients across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the assigned Project Controller with invoicing, accruals, earned value reporting and forecasting.
• Prepare, validate and organize project data such as labour, equipment, material, subcontractor and schedule information.
• Review incoming project information for completeness, flag discrepancies and maintain up‑to‑date tracking systems.
• Support project setup, estimate handover coordination and close‑out activities.
• Attend internal and external project meetings to gather information and aid coordination.
• Help prepare and audit internal and external financial reports and monitor cash flow and invoice status.

• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and adaptable.
• Strong analytical mindset with an interest in construction finance or project management.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
