Junior P&ID Drafter

About the role

Vista Projects is seeking a Junior P&ID Drafter to support the creation of design documents and drawings for industrial projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to produce accurate 2‑D drawings and assist in the preparation of as‑built documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layouts, calculations and designs for complex project elements.
• Draft moderate‑to‑complex 2D drawings, charts, schedules and as‑built drawings based on field red‑line markups.
• Create intelligent P&IDs, PFDs, DPDTs, MSDs, plot plans and other engineering diagrams using industry‑standard software.
• Ensure compliance with client and company standards, including item tagging for equipment, piping, valves and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation and controls disciplines.

Required profile

• Technical school certification, degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and good written communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with PDMS, SmartPlant or AVEVA diagramming tools.
