About the role

We are looking for a Junior IT Helpdesk Technician to join our Mississauga office. You will provide first‑line technical support to Spectrum employees and affiliates, handling hardware, software and network issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Answer incoming helpdesk calls, emails and support tickets promptly.
  • Monitor the IT Helpdesk mailbox, convert requests to tickets and assign them to appropriate team members.
  • Provide Level 1 phone, email, remote and on‑site support for desktop hardware, software, telecom and network problems.
  • Install and configure software applications and systems to meet company needs.
  • Create and manage user accounts, software licensing and system access.
  • Configure and manage mobile devices and provide printer support.
  • Document and track issues, status and resolutions using incident management tools.
  • Conduct ticket reviews, generate statistical reports and support special projects.

Required profile

  • University degree in IT or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of technical support experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365, mobile device management and standard business software.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN networking, Windows OS, Active Directory and information‑security best practices.
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting and deploying hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of mobile operating systems, devices and printer support.
  • Professional phone etiquette and ability to assist users of varying technical expertise.
