Junior Front-End Engineer (Hybrid, Montreal)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Front‑End Engineer to join our fast‑growing technology team in Montreal. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating closely with quantitative analysts and senior engineers to build modern, real‑time trading interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain React‑based front‑end applications that power live trading and data visualisation.
• Create interactive dashboards for large, fast‑moving datasets.
• Partner with quants to translate complex models and machine‑learning insights into intuitive user interfaces.
• Apply modern front‑end patterns, including real‑time streaming and performance optimisation.
• Contribute to the design of next‑generation trading tools on a greenfield codebase.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Solid computer‑science fundamentals; a degree is a plus but not mandatory.
• Passion for technology demonstrated through meet‑ups, side projects, blogs, or similar activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a low‑bureaucracy, engineer‑led environment.
