Journeyman/Carpenter – Construction

About the role

Wright Construction Services Inc. is seeking a skilled journeyman or journeyman‑woman carpenter to join our Edmonton team on a full‑time, term or contract basis. You will work on commercial construction projects, delivering high‑quality wood and steel structures.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Instruct apprentices and ensure work meets safety standards.
• Maintain tools, safety equipment and adhere to tight project deadlines.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of carpentry experience in commercial construction.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel and perform demanding manual labour.
• Commitment to safety with certifications in Working at Heights, First Aid, WHMIS, Red Seal, Fall Arrest and CSTS.
