IT Technician - Information Security Specialist

About the role

The IT Technician – Information Security Specialist will implement and maintain security controls across networks, endpoints, applications, and cloud services. You will monitor security alerts, support incident response activities, and help ensure the organization’s information assets are protected.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across networks, endpoints, applications, and cloud services.
• Monitor and triage alerts from tools such as Darktrace NDR, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Support incident response, including evidence collection, initial investigation, and escalation.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, and patch management.
• Maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, and asset inventories.
• Participate in third‑party security reviews and security awareness initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in information security operations or a related technical role.
• Familiarity with web application security concepts such as OWASP Top 10.

Required skills

• Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
• Knowledge of Darktrace NDR and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Endpoint protection platforms.
• Vulnerability scanning and patch management.
• Basic scripting or automation using PowerShell or Python.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 or other cloud environments.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST.
