About the role
Guidepoint is looking for a motivated early‑career IT professional to provide tier‑1 technical support and help coordinate key IT initiatives across a global, fast‑paced environment. The role is based onsite in our Toronto office and focuses on delivering a positive technology experience for employees.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tier‑1 support for hardware, software and mobile devices to onsite and remote staff worldwide.
- Troubleshoot Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365 issues and manage tickets through the help‑desk system.
- Configure, deploy and replace laptops for new hires and hardware upgrades.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including access and asset management.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, assist with procurement, and keep documentation up to date.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment orders, repairs and shipping.
- Assist with small IT projects, operational initiatives and basic user training.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent training).
- 1‑3 years of hands‑on technical support experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Required skills
- Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
- Ticketing systems such as Freshservice, Jira or ServiceNow.
- Active Directory / Entra ID.
- Device imaging or endpoint management tools.
- Networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Google IT Support) – nice to have.
What we offer
- Annual base salary range $50,000‑$65,000 CAD.
