IT Support Analyst

About the role

The Systems team at Framestore designs, implements, maintains and troubleshoots the technology infrastructure that supports visual effects production. This full‑time fixed‑term position is primarily on‑site in Montreal and offers the chance to work with a global creative studio while developing technical skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• First‑line support for incidents and requests using JIRA Service Desk.
• Workstation configuration support, both hardware and software.
• Monitoring of physical and logical systems.
• Diagnosing and replacing hardware components.
• Managing assets and loan equipment, including relocation and provisioning.
• Daily interaction with artists to resolve technical issues.
• Creating and updating documentation in Confluence.
• Participating in an on‑call rotation for off‑hours support.

Required profile

• Strong experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Self‑guided problem‑solving abilities.
• Hands‑on hardware experience, including builds, upgrades and repairs.
• Ability to lift loads of at least 25 lb.
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Commitment to teamwork and excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Operating system support (Red Hat, Windows, macOS).
• Active Directory management.
• Configuration management and automation.
• Windows systems administration and deployment.
• Networking fundamentals (Layer 1, Layer 2).
• Experience with JIRA Service Desk and Confluence.
