IT Field Service Technician – On‑Call & Sporadic Assignments

About the role

Kelly Services is seeking an IT Field Service Technician to support a client on a sporadic, on‑call basis. The role involves on‑site hardware, networking and troubleshooting tasks, including a specific monitor‑replacement assignment on July 2‑3.

Key responsibilities

• Replace 52 workstation monitors, uninstalling old units and installing new left‑side HUB and right‑side secondary monitors.
• Manage cable routing through trays and ensure all connections remain functional.
• Remove 26 docking stations and power cables for recycling.
• Verify sit‑stand desks operate without disconnecting patch cables.
• Document monitor serial numbers per workstation and complete inventory reports.
• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, servers, printers and POS systems.
• Perform hardware installations, network troubleshooting and IMAC (install, move, add, change) projects.
• Maintain accurate service stock levels and adhere to Service Level Agreements.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience with hardware, networking and troubleshooting; in‑field experience is a plus.
• Minimum 6 months of proven customer‑service experience.
• Problem‑solver with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A+ certification or equivalent experience.
• Must own a car, cell phone, laptop, console cable and a basic tool kit.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel.

What we offer

• Pay rate $29 per hour for the upcoming July assignment.
• Future sporadic/on‑call roles paid $26‑$29 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.
• Paid mileage for designated distances.
• Flexible schedule between 9 am‑5 pm, with occasional overnight travel.
