Intermediate Accountant - Manufacturing Finance

About the role

Join Nature’s Path’s manufacturing finance team as an Intermediate Accountant. You will bridge accounting and operations, gaining hands‑on experience in a complex manufacturing environment while supporting cost analysis, inventory accounting, and financial reporting across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full‑cycle accounting tasks for manufacturing operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and month‑end close.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory movements and cost trends to inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and Finance leaders to provide financial insight and support budgeting, forecasting and planning.
• Assist with inventory accounting, product costing and operational financial analysis.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, process enhancements and system optimisation.
• Support audits and compliance requirements for Canadian and U.S. operations.
• Maintain ERP and reporting processes, including data validation and analysis.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience is required.
• Solid understanding of inventory, costing and manufacturing accounting principles.
• CPA designation completed or actively pursued is an asset.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience working with large data sets.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

What we offer

• Base salary $80,000‑$90,000 CAD plus a 10% performance bonus.
• Hybrid work arrangement based in Richmond, BC.
• Periodic travel (3‑4 trips per year) to sites in Washington and Wisconsin.
